About us

We are a small family business based in Warsop, Nottinghamshire. A wife and husband team (Julie the Boss and Ian the Chief Stirrer, taster, and washer upper) and gain our emotional support from our three dogs, four ducks and multiple chickens.

We make premium preserves from jams and chutneys to pickles and cordials, and these are made from locally sourced ingredients.

We work with our little village vegetable shop, who in turn works with local growers. We grow our own produce and forage in our local fields for hedgerow ingredients like rosehips and crab apples.

Our recipes are old family favourites that we have tinkered with occasionally, dependant on what is in season. This all started with Julie learning to make jam with her Mum as a child, which developed into gifts and hampers for Christmas and family birthdays and then in to the business we have now.

Our name comes from Julie’s nickname given to her by Ian, shorted from Lady Princess Primrose the First (he has no idea where he got it from) to Primmie and then to Prim’s. Ian has the nickname Squirrel, so the craziness within the family continues.

We joke that Julie is a Domestic Witch when her cauldrons are out and bubbling. There is though, something magical about taking basic ingredients and creating a completely different product, and then to see people taking enjoyment from it so perhaps she does have the craft?
